Rich or poor...?

Question

If being rich means eating stuff like liver pate' and caviar, would you rather just stay poor and eat pork rinds and Ho Ho's? Ick! I just fed the caviar to my cats! I need a Slim Jim!

This stuff was in a gift basket I got. I didn't dole out cash for it!

Your reasoning and logic is quite flawed; just because one is affluent does not mean one has to just eat nasty things like caviar all day; they can, like the indigent, eat cheap and tasty but incredibly unhealthy foods like pork rinds and Ho Ho's; however, when one is poor, one can ONLY stick to such cheap and degrading foods as pork rinds and Ho Ho's.

Therefore, what I am saying, is that while you can stereotype the poor man's diet, you canNOT stereotype the rich man's diet, for he can, if he wished, to purchase both expensive, but unpalatable foods like cavier, and cheap, but tasty and unsalubrious foods like pork rinds and Ho Ho's -- just two of many reasons why Americans, on average, are so damn FAT (which also tells you that most Americans are poor).

A better question would be:

Do you prefer a tasty but unhealthy diet or a not very tasty but healthy diet?

I guess I will just stay with middle class food, thank you very much! I don't care for gourmet dining and I am lucky I am not in poverty. It really breaks my heart every time I see an item that is Made IN China, and think of the poor people, many of them children, who spend long hours at poor pay to produce them. I really try not to buy Chinese goods. I think there has to be a way to put pressure on the Chinese government to improve the human rights of its workers.

I wouldnt exactly say we were rich, we are comfortable.
We have 4 kids and I do all my grocery shopping at Walmart. My kids rule when it comes to what they want to eat. I buy what they will eat.
My hubby drives a semi and is out for 2 weeks at a time and he does like a good ole grilled steak and potato when he comes home and I dont mind that one bit.

I'd much rather have pate and caviar than pork rinds and Ho Hos. I hate pork rinds and Ho Hos. I can like pate and can tolerate caviar if I have sour cream to go with it. But if rich, I can eat whatever I want anyway.

i would say poor man food i dont even know how 2 pronouce half of that stuff and then it be a little bit they give u all the time...i rather go 2 Mickey D'sssssssssss...
