figure out what she wants to eat?
There are times where I have to attempt to approximate when I will be hungry in an effort to start the process two or so hours before hand... I'm just sayin'...

Oh, my husband HATES that I can never tell him what I want for dinner! I just don't think about eating until I'm really hungry and then I just get a bowl of cereal or something. I'm so busy with life and focused on many other things that eating is not a priority for me.

However, most of the time if my husband makes dinner, I will eat it. I just don't like meal planning and cooking. He usually cooks and I wash the dishes! It works for us.

If we go out for dinner, I always find something I want on the menu. But I couldn't tell you what I'm in the mood for before hand. I just like to see the options and pick out what sounds good at that time.

Oh so you do the cooking too huh! I know exactly how you feel.

I really hate it when I go to all the trouble of nipping out to the grocery store and bringing home some magnificent ingredients for something delightful and my wife will say... "I'n not hungry.... think I will just have a toasted vegemite sandwich". She does no meal planning at all... and when she is hungry ..... she will go to the pantry and open a can of beans or something... whatever she can see. Well, I can't live like that... and it disturbs me no end that she can... until the beans run out.

Consequently when I ask her what she would like for dinner in order to prepare for the meal she will reply "I cant think about dinner now .. I've just had breakfast.. whats the matter with you!"

I should have married you Jamus.

yeah, I don't think this is a problem for most women. Maybe once and a while you aren't really sure what you are in the mood for but if I was like that then I would just go along with whatever my husband wanted and I'm sure there would be something on the menu I could eat for dinner that night.

I will answer for him (hehe) I usually make him nuts that I eat the same things all the time (I have diabetes and am very much a creature of habit) What he HATES is that I don't eat many sweets so I won't let him either. :-P and I will harass him for hours until he goes for a walk with me. SO, trust me, it could be worse... Eat what you want. She will figure it out herself.

It gets really old figuring out what to cook and then cooking it. It gets so old it can become very depressing for some. Maybe a cooking duo once in a while would help. Show some interest and help when you can. Whole new woman, whole new world.

That is a very funny question! Yes it does drive me nuts, i never recommend anything, cause your minds change like the direction of the wind. If i even have the slightest idea my partner is getting hungry, i start trying to get them to make a decision as i know the hungrier they get the meaner they get!!!!!!!

Hubby said "ABSO-FU@KING-LUTELY"

ROFLMAO!

On the other hand, do you make suggestions? Or do you have no idea either? LOL. This is an issue EVERY mealtime in our home. Good Question!

I am pregnant and for some reason RARELY crave anything, and sometimes don't want to eat at all. I drive him crazy! :(

If she cannot decide what she wants to eat, then she must not be that hungry. Stop adjusting your eating time with her, just eat when YOU wanna eat, and she'll eat when she wants to eat. Or you can lead her into that direction to when to eat if you can just tell her, "ok, we're going out to eat at 6 so please be ready at 530" and just go where you want to go. or if you are eating at home, just start preparing when you wanna eat and she'll probably start eating too.
