I feel like tossing everything out. I feel crowded and confused with the stuff in my house.
Everyone says that my house is clean and neat - but to me if feels crowded - - and I hate draws/piles of stuff.
I would like to get rid of my coffee table and most of my books - clothes - other stuff. - they seem like a waste of space.

Should I toss....?
Or is this because of Christmas.
Anyone else feel this way?

I feel the same way. I don't like clutter and I like a change of scenery . . . too often. I just want to start the new year with new things. . . including a new guy.

Don't get rid of the coffee table, it serves a purpose. However, after reading a book, by all means give it to good will. If you have the urge to get rid of stuff (which of course is normal when you just received a ton more stuff), pick up a shopping bag or trash bag and go around the whole house and get rid of things. You don't want to just stick to certain items or you might feel like you don't have any of that particular item left (e.g. your clothes). Go through your kitchen and see what you might not have used in the last 6 months, or through your bathroom for any make-up or toiletries you tried but never got rid of after you found you didn't like it! I will be doing the same after I put away all my Christmas decorations. This is normal, no need to fret and do it if you feel the urge. Just don't go overboard in case it is just because you are overwhelmed from the Holidays!

I clean seasonal Spring Winter Fall and Winter each time I get rid of alot of stuff. I must hate cleaning all the what nots I dont like to store stuff I have not used in years. After Christmas is the worst I have all this new stuff and the old stuff needs to go to make room for the new. I think this is a bad time. But Spring is bad too. I look at all those Winter clothes so big and bulky and storing is big and bulky but spring everything has to lighten up including the house. I dont know which is worst. I dont even have curtains now I got tired of washing and pressing and rehanging, went with shutters beautiful clean and easy to keep.

Some of it is because after Christmas when we must put it all away it feels to much to do,I wouldn't toss things out just yet but go through your rooms and whatever you really don't like or are not using put it in a box set it in a closet or garage if you haven't missed or needed it in one month then toss it.Yes,I feel that way too,it seems suddendly to be overcrowded in certain rooms. But that's what I do and when I finish I am usually happy with the results, not much comes back in.Good luck.

Have done it.....I was tired of everyone leaving their junk on my coffee and end tables so I got rid of them and bought floor lamps. solved my problem. If you feel like it's in your way then get rid of it. Do things that please you and make you happy.
