I'm straight. My parents are homophobics,
and they don't like my gay guy friends. I'm not even
allowed to have them over. I don't understand this because they're guys, and they're " gay ". How can I get my parents resepect, and prove to them that my friends aren't really that bad of people.

well depending on your age your parents cannot stop you hanging about with YOUR friends..

no longer undemanding subject! are you waiting to talk on your chum in the process an by utilising myself time- in common words factor out which you spotted how aggravated they known over the e book incident and ask if there is a few thing you're arranged to do. If she says no, they're coping with themes then you definitely look after your mouth close and save the play dates to a minimum. she would have the flexibility to finally observe which you have pulled back and ask why. you could make clean which you're no longer mushy having the little ones on the comparable time and why. If she says helpful, she is aggravated, then it opens the door for some tender suggestions. Reminding her that she is the parent and on precise of themes and that eliminating the teenager from the complicated incident on the comparable time as ultimate calm is extremely important to his understand-how what's suited and incorrect. perhaps even a e book on parenting guidance which you would be waiting to bypass to her because of the fact of fact which you enjoyed interpreting this is a non-confrontational hint. stable fulfillment!

This reminds me of an old commercial. A small boy and his Grandfather are fishing and the boy says "Grandpa, Jimmy says I'm a racist." and the Grandfather asks, "Who is Jimmy?" The lil boy says, "Jimmy is one of my Jewish friends." The Grandfather says, "Then you are a racist, because you think of Jimmy as your Jewish friend and not just your friend."
Are your Gay male friends swishy? overly femine? How do your parents know they are gay? Did you say, This is Bob, hes ok he's gay?" I had gay friends who nobody knew about til the incident in the lockeroom but that's another question.
All joking aside, if your parents are homophobes then you will not get a leporad to change it's spots.

I used to have the same problem in
high school... The thing is u have to stand up to your parents and let them know that your friends are human and have feelings... tell them to get to know them, before judging them...and asure them that just cause their gay won't make an affect on you...I mean all of u like the same thing...lol...Good Luck!!!!

you prbly wont get them to stop being
homophobic so the best thing you
can do is sit them down and explain how
much it means to you
"no naggin, screaming, or cursing"
in a mature manner and voice tell
them that they are misinfored and
upholding negative stereo types
if that dosen't work get mean
have ur friends call over at all
times of day and night saying "in a weird voice"
one of us, one of us, we will have her soul, praise be to he who is most unclean
lqtms
or have one of your friends fake a broken leg
or wound "make it realistic put some "blood" and grass stains on his jeans"
run in screaming histerricaly he did it he did it "cry if you can"
let them ask you what a few times calm down and say i told him not to but he did it, look away "what"
"look directly in to eyes" and say somebody jumped of of something more than 8ft high and broke their leg
see what they do to see how much they really don't like
gays
or say that "friends name" isn't gay anymore and you two are
now dating and planning on getting married
i could go on all day....
but i won't
just have some fun if the serious way dosen't work
f with ur parents head

As long as you live in their house on their dime, they can tell you where to spend your time.
Just spend your time working or whatever to save money to move out after you turn 18. Then you can choose what you want to do.

You can show your parents that your friends are just like everybody else. They have rights, too.

Why are you hanging out with just gay people? If I was your mom, I'd think you were gay too.
