this will probably sound terrible to you but i would keep my mouth shut. honestly, im sure your father-in-law being in politics has a wonderful insurance plan and really, i don't think anything will go terrible in surgery (knock on wood). so unless something does happen( fingers and toes crossed that he'll be fine) i would just keep my mouth shut. however, i would think that your husband would notice his plastic surgery unless it was under his clothes. but i would still respect his wishes because would you tell your father-in-law that your husband was having surgery if your spouse wished for you to keep quiet?
Anyways, good luck to you and him both.

that's a tough one. I would ask your father-in-law why he doesn't want you to tell and then if the reason is a good one then I wouldn't tell. If he doesn't want you to tell because it's personal I wouldn't tell. I hope nothing goes wrong, but if something does then tell your husband what happened and explain the situation. I really hope everything works out for you.

When a person confides in you, then you have a moral obligation to respect their trust in you. I would say nothing to my husband. (It is the place of your husband father to tell him when he is good and ready).

Tell him anyway. Your husband comes before your father-in-law. I think he subconsciously wants to tell him anyway and that's why he told you.

No, don't tell him. especially if he specifically asked you not to, since it's not your business. If he wanted your husband to know he would have told him already!!!!

No.
And if the subject comes up just start something on fire, that'll distract them.
