You need compression, fuel, spark and proper timing to get an engine to start and run. Check to see that you're getting fuel to the cylinders. Once that's good check that you have spark to the plugs and that the plugs are good. If it still won't start check the compression. If all those are good and it won't start check the timing as the timing chain may have jumped a tooth or two.

when you key up the ignition key ,before it starts, you should hear the fuel pump prime. It sounds like a high pitch whine coming from the fuel tank.. If you have that you should be getting fuel. also check for spark by shoving a screwdriver in the end of the plug wire and lay it near a body or engine ground.( just so long as it won't be struck by anything moving).
try these and get back to me on what it does.

Well first things first does it have good spark ? does it get fuel ? there are a few vac lines that if are off the vehicle wont run . the main one is right on back of intake.

first you need to determine exactly what your problem is......your engine need,s 3 thing,s to run.....fuel , air , & spark...........first check your air filter ..to be sure it,s not pluged up....then [ while the air filter is out ]....spray some either or carburetor cleaner into the intake....then try starting...if it start,s & die,s....then you have a fuel delivery problem......if it does nothing but crank....you may just have an ignition problem......now there is more to go into ...but would be easier if you can do theese preliminary test,s......come back to answer,s or e-mail me when you have more information....good luck.

What fouled the plugs? gas, oil, or coolant? attempt conserving the footfeed to the floor on a similar time as cranking, that places the engine in sparkling flood mode (shuts off gas) if it starts off then examine coolant sensor could somewhat decide on greater archives to be of plenty help digital mail me in case you like
