i was extremely happy once, with a guy who had been an old flame, it was far back in the past. i will always remember him, and have fond thoughts of him when i think of him it brings a sense of peace and contentment i once knew. when i look at his picture my mind relives all the wonderful times we had. i don't think i ever was as happy, nor will i ever be again.

I've had two extremely happy relationships that would be considered an old flame. My first love & best friend but he died about 2 years ago ( I don't like to talk about that a lot, I still can't belive it, he was so young.
The second guy was my friend since I WAS 11 we didn't date until I was about 17. We were pretty close so we decides to get serious, I don't even remember why we broke up, but I loved him a lot, I was a virgin then and he never tried anything or pressured me. I'm married now and until this day I still have a lot of love for him, he's still a great friend.

I was happy with every old flame at the time, otherwise they wouldn't have been flames. But, in each case, the flame burned out, though I still think of most of them fondly, years later.

I do not know if mine was an old flame but, back then, about 21 years ago, when i was fourteen years old, in the State of Minnesota, I saw a guy in the only Movie Theatre, that little Town had.
I went to see a Movie with the whole family, which consisted, of my parents and siblings, as I sat down in one of the chairs, my oldest sister sat beside me, and I noticed a guy looking at me, and did not mind that my sisters, and my Parents were looking at him the way he was looking at me, I looked at him for a minute, and all time stood still, I could have swore he was meant for me and I, for him.
I made an excuse to go to the Bathroom but my Dad told my oldest brother to go with me, and wait outside for me, as I rushed forward, this guy caught my Arm and told me his name, and I said mine, as I was going inside the bathroom, my Brother told the guy not to bother me again or he will be sorry for it. the guy, said he was from Austin, Texas, and he will not rest until he found out where I was from, and he was going to go look for me, that we were destined for each other, and we belonged together. It still gives me the chills when I talk about it to anyone, and I can still see his face from that long ago day. I am Married to my Husband not this guy but one from my hometown, for 49 years going into our 50th. next June, I Love my Husband a lot, and will give my Life for him, but I still am hunted by the face of this Guy, and wonder what would have happened if what he said was true and we really were destined for each other. Were we, Soulmates, I have always wanted to know.

When I was in the relationship I didn't realize how happy I was. Looking back, hindsight is 20/20, and yeah I was pretty happy!

Nope, if the flame's burnt out there's no need to start it up again.
