if you star a question just to be able to go back to it.Why not just add it into your watch list instead?

2007-12-29 11:59:14 · update #1

why would a contact be interested in a person starring a question?

Watchlist is the best way to track them if you wish to remain "behind the curtain" so to speak.. It stays in your watchlist until YOU take it off. If the Q is removed, it STILL stays in your watchlist, though you cant look at the details anymore....

Well, sometimes I have found questions from earlier that I'd like to answer that my contacts have starred. Sometimes, I like to show the asker that their question was better than the other ones I answered.

LOL there, there Sock Puppet.

I don't answer questions because I find them interesting. Only some of them are interesting. I answer questions to share my opinion and views and offer advice. But you somewhat have a point there.

Usually I star questions that I want to easily get back to or that I think the information in them will be useful someday.

I don't rightly know why I would star something I ain't interested in. I do answer lots of questions that ain't exactly what you call interesting though. No disrespect to you intended, sir.

Well for profile purpose too...and at least you can gauge how people think about your answers as they rate it..but I tell you it is not accurate at all, soem of my answers were good enough but they get 3 stars or 4 to the most, while my not so-so good answers get 5 even..see even sstarring answers are not reliable......very subjective and relative most of the time..all in the askers' choice!!!like your Q.........sounds interesting now!

Not necessarily. Some people answer questions JUST for the points, not because the question was interesting.

You mean....you don't *want* my star? lol

You do have a point....but I do find a lot of questions on here because my contacts have starred them. I then star them so that my fans can see them....among other reasons.

It's not that you want to go back to it, it's that you think it's interesting and your fans might like to see it.
