The bonding wire ( or ground wire in the US ) sometimes called Earth in Europe should be to the approved electrical ground point. I assume you mean for the pump etc. and not actually to the pool. Pumps and other electrical equipment should also be on a GFI even if they are far away from the pool. Still, for safety it should be as short as possible. If the electric service is run very far you might consider adding an addition ground rod near the equipment. Note I said an additional ground rod, not an alternate to the electrical ground for the electrical box.

I dont know what a bonding wire is but I used to install inground pools , and i've set the equipment quite a ways from the pool, 100 ft. ?
