The Spanish are white. Columbus and all those invaders of the americas who slayed millions of native americans came from Spain, and plenty of Spanish people look light eyed and fair skinned. They are white. And some Spanish people are olive skinned and dark-haired but they are still white bc not all white people look the same some white people have light features others have darker features but theyre still white.
I think it's bc people think white just means light eyes and light skin and also ignorantly a "boring" reserved culture with no vibrancy to it and bc that is certainly not Spain they think "Oh Spanish people cannot be white" they are ignorant. Anything in Europe is considered white so Spain is in Europe to the person who said it wasn't it is in Europe a map will show you.
Adonis: well if you say Spanish people are white then sorry to break it to you but wouldn't also Greek people be white since Greece is in Europe? Iknow Greece can be mixed but I'm talking about people of full Greek descent.

Yeah that makes no sense, considering Spain was the last fascist state and Spanish guys joined the Waffen SS to defend Nazi Germany.

People who say Spanish people are not white are mostly people who think a Mestizo equals Spain

because some people are probably thinking of hispanic...yet their are white and black in spain and their are white and black looking people who happen to be hispanic...but really why does it matter,everyone is different..who cares

Because they're ignorant...... and celtic girl is a good example of it. Some people don't even know where Spain is located --- for god's sake, there are some americans who don't even know where Mexico is located, despite their eternal problem with illegal immigration and stuff. Believe me, I'VE MET SOME.

Back to the spaniards: it is true that not all of them are 100% white. Due to the arabian occupation for 400+ yrs of this country, there are some people who do have arabian features and therefore are not "pure" caucasian anymore. But in general, of course they're white!!!!

Spaniards are European.

The term "Hispanic" relates to people from Spain.

People think "hispanic" refers to anyone who speaks Spanish. Therefor people think "hispanics" aren't White as they associate Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, etc with being "Hispanic"

So, the answer is people aren't educated about Latino culture.

i fully agree with siamese!!! im half spanish/ half german and yes, even if some of us (me included) got an all year long tan and dark hair and eyes and have a lot of temper we are still white...and we are also latinos (lot of people dont know that either)
