Lynne,
I guess Al Gore was wrong - sorry!

The thing I do when I am cold is take a Hot Shower. It is the fastest way to warm the bones that have been chilled. Or else, you could hope next time the "inconvenient truth" of Al Gore will have taken hold and voila - no more cold winters.

Gerry :)

When the temps are miserable, when I come indoors, I usually leave my coat on for awhile. Or, put another warm fleece jacket on. I usually sit down with a warm tea or coffee and gradually adjust.

Then, a hot bath, is next...making sure I turn on the small electric heater in the bathroom. These pedestal heaters are great for under $50. Then, I light a candle...and some nice scented suds...and into my sweats and cozy comforter..I cannot stand being cold! You see, how prepared I am...lol.

I know that takes time...but I just leave coat on for awhile...or sit by those small heaters...as not everyone has a fireplace.

Sit as near to the fire as poss, with a nice cup of steaming hot lemon and boiled water- it warms your bones up, and helps to stop colds. Love Jo xx

A hot cup of tea and a warm blanket is a nice method of warming up.

How about a hot drink (or a cup of soup) and a nice warm fire in the fireplace? I suppose the only flaw in that plan is that making a fire takes time....and it can be hard work.
