i've noticed in my 17 years of life, that everyone is "different" whether it's personality, or looks..
a better question would be, is normal a possiblity? is it all around us? or is it. . . you get the point, if everyone is different, and being different is normal. . i could also say that everyone being normal is the same, so in this particular case, the same is different?
different and the same are alike...?
can't carry on asking, confusing myself.
thanks to those who may, or may not.. answer.

If you can define and put a label on what is "normal"then Yes people can be "normal".
Everyones definition of "normal" though is different

Why bother being normal? Normal is sinfully boring.
Being yourself and of course the you that no one else can possibly be is perhaps the greatest gift we can ever enjoy.
Within the parameters of society we can be outwardly normal. We can always work towards being The Norm. But what a waste of a lifetime!!!

Well when the rules for normal are defined, it may be possible.
Until then, continue being yourself and allow others to be who they are. I think that's normal.

oh, you do like to play the logic game. normal is a perception - an opinion, and as such, everyone has one, therefore, everyone is normal, unless, of course, they are abnormal, in which case, they are outside of normal. and on and on we can go. take a logic course, its rather interesting.

What is "normal"?
We know when someone is not "normal" (wearing the aluminum foil hat is a good giveaway) but what is "normal"?
Is it nortmal never to take your vacation time from work? I don't think so; my boss says otherwise

In my opinion normality is a social construct created by us so that we can have a mean by which we can consider what is a malaptive way or life or not. Granted there are extremes that are obviously abnormal but those are either instutitionalised or in prison. Normality is a very gray area. Basically everyone has abnormal characteristics but generally they function in society and so are "normal". They are not a harm to themselves or others and so it is ok. Although some people believe that social expected behaviour is a norm which I disagree with. Different cultures, ages, sexes have different norms there is no general normal way to behave in that way.
So being not normal or abnormal in a healthy way is not bad at all it merely keeping an identity. Unless of course you actually have a mental disorder which is not bad and usually managable also.
