it was my friend's birthday yesterday and she puked about $400 worth of food and liquior in my car last night. I have cleaned it about 3 times. The first time I cleaned it with ammonia and bleach (the stuff to clean a kitchen with) because I was hysterical. However, it didnt bleach the upholstery. Than I left carpet cleaner on it overnight and scrubbed with a brush in the morning. I than got the floor of the car shampooed and vacumed. Than I tried to clean it with carpet cleaner once more.

My main concern are the seats of my car. The smell is gone but I feel like vomit probably seeped in the fabric of the seats and I didnt clean well enough or something. What else should I do to clean the upholstery of my car?!? I want to make sure no icky vomit residue is left.

hire a carpet cleaner for 24hrs, they come with attachements that you can use on seats, buy the concentrate they sell with it and do your seats once or twice with that, you will notice a massive difference, plus you can do your own carpets as well!!!

Smokey is right. Buy a couple of boxes baking soda. Dilute it in water, using a sponge, wipe the seats surface w/ it. Then, after the seats dry, using dry baking soda, rub some if it to the fabric. Literally pushing it into the cushion. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) neutralizes odors and takes away acidity. Because it's a natural eco friendly substance, no one can be alergic to it if they come in contact w/ it. This is my suggestion. Only time will tell if it actually works. It will work, it's just hard to say how well it will. G'luck & let me know when you give me my 10 points how well it did. Thanx & g'luck.

EEEWWWW! My friend puked in my car and i made HER clean it up. We were driving home from a night out drinking (mostly HER drinking) and she says PULL OVER! PULL OVER! So I pullover, and she pukes all over in my car! I started yelling at her to OPEN THE DAMN DOOR! She was already done by that time. So, when i got back to her house, she cleaned it and it still smelled a little for a few days, but nothing a little shampooning and febreeze didnt take care of.

I'm sure the seats are waterproof. Seats are always getting sode, coffee, ice cream, rain and snow on them. If they weren't, they would always smell.

When you're driving a car full of drunk people, keep the windows down.
