Pipe dope or tape are never used on oxygen fittings, most fittings are made for metal to metal seal, however some companies use a hard fiber washer where hose connections are frequently changed.

u dont need tape these fittings are a flare fitting.if thay are leaking you need to replace them.also propane fitings are left handed thread and oxygen are right hand thread

Nothing is needed on either one of these type connectors. If they leak after firmly tightening, replace them. They are made to have a metal to metal seal.

yes, tape or liquid teflon get the fitting tight, turn on the gas and then spray it with soapy water if it doesn't bubble your good to go.

what are you connecting to this tank?
if you are talking about oxygen acetelyne torch. then the regulator will screw on there with no thread sealant at all. the fitting in the regulator will seal on its own.

Not sure if it is absolutely necessary, but it can't hurt. Seems like it would help to ensure a leak-proof seal.
