report him to someone who is higher then him..... take it to the HR department...... make note of examples of which he does this behavior, make sure to document the date and time. See if you can get other people to back up your accusations...... I would def report him, that is just WRONG what he's doing.

Firstly I would confront him in a way that he doesn't feel threatened and ask him why he behaves in such a way and that it is unnacceptable. If this doesn't work, then I can pretty much guarantee that you've succeeded in becoming one of his un-favourite people and then you can be on your way to HR! If it personally affects you, find a new job. Also, just remind him that he can actually be sued for being racsist and that harrassment is against the law!

what bosses dont have character flaws? Most have big mouths. If you hate it that much then leave and give a forwarding letter onto the directors explaining your concerns - its not rocket science.

Whats unfair about making a slacker feel uncomfortable, it motivates people to try harder and if it doesn't they they need to change jobs. Racial issues on the other hand the people having these comments said about them need to go to the labor department and file a complaint, you might even be able to file the complaint.

My boss rewards people for phucking up, and discourages people from caring about quality work.
It's the most bass-ackwards place I've ever seen.
I don't know what to do either....look for another job is what I'm trying.

well its a dificult question to answer saying as life is going to throw people like this into your life and it's really a matter of what you think will be in your best interest...
possibly confront them
(could end badly)
keep to yourself
(may hurt others because they must deal with his insensitivities)
do you like the job?
if not i would try and find another hopefully better with a more respectable employer
otherwise i fear i cannot help you
wishing you the best either way =]

Hmmm...I would quit. Find a better Job. Bad bosses = Bad day. But if you're not willing to quit... then i suggest write a letter to him and leave it on his desk about how you feel. Its alot better than saying it to his face...sign it "anomonyus"

Get another job. Unless you want to file a complaint about racial comments to your government human resources, there isn't much you can do.

Report him to his boss or your human resources department. It is good of you to recognize that he is putting you in a difficult situation and that he does not respect himself or others.

That's tough. I don't suppose transferring to somewhere else is a possibility? Or maybe when he praises you in front of the others, speak up then and there.
