I am really interested in becoming a vet, but I'd like a little more information. How long does the schooling take? (years) also what is the average starting salary of a vet?

I'm not a Veterinarian, but I am a Veterinary Technician.
To become a veterinarian, you must get your Bachlor's degree (4 years of college) and then do another 4 years of vet school. It's a lot of work, but if you are focused then you can do it.
The average starting salary varies by state; however, the average STARTING salary in the U.S. is around $52,000- each year of experience raises the salary.

I was interested in becoming a vet so I know that schooling takes very long; much longer than for becoming a doctor as animals are so different.

I guess starting salary depends on your location & the practice you work for, but vets are paid well!

It's all spelled out on sites on the internet--do a google.com search on 'becoming a vet' and you'll get more than you need to know.
