The rain is stopped by the mountain range,What if we removed the top part of the mountain to allow rainfall to occur.Even if this were an impossible task, what would happen.I know desert life would be altered,But would it be possible to create hospitable enviorment for mammels.

Well, the part that is before the mountains would get less rain, as it would be spread out farther. The desert area would probably become more hospitable, but it wouldn't become an extremely lush environment, as a lot of the rain would still fall on the part that used to be before the mountains.

This would be virtually impossible. If it could be done, there is no way of accurately predicting what would happen. There would be effects on both side of the mountains in regard to wind, precipitation, and temperature. Dumping the dirt and rocks would affect the areas where that was done.

i really like the idea of transforming desert into arable land. i think probably a nuclear desalination plant for the soul purpose of irrigation would be very much fun. what kind of forest would you plan? i would want to try and trans plant some rain forests think big! nothing is impossible! oh or we could genetically engineer animals that can live in the desert give them all camel humps that would work too!
