The people who say you have to be 3 years removed from your high school graduation are correct. You don't have to go to college at all to get to the NFL; anyone who graduated from high school at least 3 years ago is eligible.

Amobi Okoye was the 10th overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft at the age of only 19. This was legal because he graduated from high school when he was 16.

it's not a question of age; I believe you have to be at least 3 years out of high school.

Clarett and Mike Williams couldn't be drafted when they were 20, but the defensive player for Houston (Okoye) was only 19 but had graduated college already.

im not aware of any age requirement, but you must have 2 seasons of college football ELIGIBILITY under your belt in order to be drafted ..... so redshirting does not count. im sure there must be an age requirement for those who didnt attend college, but would assume its got to be at least 20. an 18 year old in the NFL would get killed.

Terry C is correct..

But I suppose an extension to the question would be, what if you quit high school...I would think the time would go off when you were supposed to graduate high school.

I don't think that there is an age limit.
