Do you remember MTV's Real World Seattle? I heard that back when they were filming the reality show, the cast and crew were not accepted by the town. They had to stop filming because of the harassment by the locals. Apparently they were harassed, spit on, and people wore shirts that said "Seattle thinks Real World SUCKS". I guess they just weren't accepted there.

Anyways, can anyone confirm if this is true? Also, does anyone from Seattle actually remember any of this?

I remember it well. We were not happy to have the crew come into our clubs. There was major attitude coming from them and that's how people responded. We did everything we could so that they wouldn't have any usable footage.

We also saw them 'reshooting' on the streets. There was nothing real about Real World Seattle. The house they lived in wasn't actually classified as a house. There isn't zoning for residential space there. They got away with it by filing as a filming studio.

I vaguely remember... I know that a lot of people didn't like the fact that they were here, but I'm pretty sure they didn't stop filming. There weren't tons of those shirts, but I saw many "anti-Real World" shirts while they were in Seattle. Man, I'd love to live right on the waterfront where they lived!
