This is an old controversy. Should Eurasia be one continent or two or more?

Different cultures? Bah, hardly a reason to declare a continent. Do you suppose that Canada has the same culture as Mexico? That Djibouti has the same culture as Egypt?

They don't get along? I suppose that would make France a continent all to itself. The French don't get along with anyone.

To the previous answerer...

Of course you don't consider yourself to be Asian. That was never part of the proposal. But why wouldn't you consider yourself to be Eurasian? (Here is a hint, you are a Eurasian, whether you like it or not.)

2 continents. They are so different from one another. The cultures are dramatically different as well. Also Asians and Europeans don't seem to get along so well and borders are defined by society. Therefore two continents. And how is this a physics question?

Hi there, i think that Eurasia would be a cool continent and that it would make it easier for the mapmakers, but at the same time i think European and Asian cultures are so different and cant mix but i have to adimt Eurasia has a cool ring.

it seems that they should as they are part of the same land mass but due to wide differences in culture and society it seems right that they are two seperate continents
similarly should north america and south america be seperate because they are different land masses that share the same principles?
