I currently am on yaz and have been for 15 months. I take the pill everyday ( i have never missed a pill) and my boyfriend and I use condoms, or withdraw method. I'm currently on my second to last day of the plain pills (the day i have always began my period) and i still haven't gotten my period. Should I be worried, or could I be missing it for other resons?

My friend had that happen to her on the pill and she completely freaked out. Apparently it is not that uncommon to miss a single period on the pill, it even says that on the literature that comes with it (which basically says don't worry if you have been taking the pill properly), and it only says to bother taking a pregnancy test if you miss two periods in a row. I once had my period come over a day late when I was on the pill and I literally almost cried all day because I was so worried, and I had been taking them perfectly for years. I personally probably wouldn't be able to deal with the stress of waiting all that time to see if next months came, so I would probably want to take a pregnancy test anyway. But I think they chances are of you being pregnant are pretty small.

You could be pregnant, as nothing is 100% effective except for abstinence, but it could just be stress, or other reasons.

Don't worry, or take a test if you are uncertain
