I need some good tips for drawing young children in an anime style, any suggestions?

I'm trying to draw some characters around the age of 7 or 8, but I can't draw young children. -_-;
Any suggestions or websites? I've tried Google but it's not bringing up anything helpful.

I also think they must have large touching eyes and in some way resemble chibis. Also, I think you could at first try copying young childern from reference anime pictures, and when you make out the main principles and have enough practice, you'll be able to create your own designs.

You could also go on www.drawmanga.ru It's a Russian site, but maybe you'll find some useful sketches there.

Just work on your own style and try to draw realistic before anime style. Notice how they can be chubby, have rounded bellies, just notice the shapes and interpret them in your own way. Copying other people's exact styles might not be helpful in the long run.

Their arms and legs are usually stick thin (babies are chubby). The head has to be 1/3 larger than proportion would seem to indicate,and less space between the mouth and eyes. Their foreheads are higher. Hair is more poofy too.

or if you want anime style,dont rely on the web.you will just burn time seaching for the unsearchable instead of practicing.take it from me just "Buy books"(instructional books in drawing)..

or this might help not only in drawing children but in all your drawings too..
