No, I'm not divorced neither are my parents, in fact they are celebrating 50 this May (God willing!)
I believe in making it work, otherwise I would never have stepped into the deal in the first place. It's about the whole package, and if that's not what people have in mind from the get go they should not be doing it.
You cant force it or will it to happen either. It's all about committment from the get go.
There's no perfection, there's no easy street, no bells and whistles, it's all about committment and nurturing that love you promised to on that day you took those vows.
I think most people who divorce know in retrospect it was wrong right from the beginning if they really stop to think about it.

If your child is putting you in danger... for example beating you or hurting other family members in the house, and you call the police, social services can become involved, and may put the child in foster care or juvenile hall. I think that's as close as you can get. You can't just "divorce" your kid because you are sick of them, however. Either put them up for adoption at birth, or be a parent.

I'm not divorced and neither are my parents, though when I was a teen I wished they would so that I could get away from my crazy mother and go live with just my dad.

My parents have been divorced since I was five. I don't even remember me my mom and dad being all together. Oh well..things happen.
I just hope when I get married, it's for good.
