How can I temporarily disable Adobe Flash Player 9 on my Firefox browser?

I listen to Pandora Radio at pandora.com a lot and it makes my already slow-a.ss laptop lag massively. Sometimes I'll sit with all my non-Pandora programs (usu. one or two Word documents and one or two other Firefox browsing tabs) unresponsive for like 10 minutes. It's pretty ridiculous.

I suspect part of the reason Pandora's so slow and makes my programs unresponsive is the numerous ads loading and re-loading with Flash Player, but I'm not sure how to disable Flash Player on Firefox. Advice?

Add this addon - Flashblock - this will temporarily disable flash in firefox.
