Pads can be really uncomfortable. If you want a form of proection that you can use everyday, try panty liners. There much thinner, and offer a decent amount of protection. Be sure to always keep a pad on you just in case your flow suprises you as being really heavy. Go for panty liners. They even make them for thongs, if you wear them.

ok, with the right pad, sure their not that bad to wear, but all day everyday, thats a bit much. what i would suggest is, keeping with you extra underwear and pads at all times. so just in case you do start and it gets your undies a bit bloody, then just change into a new pair and put a pad on. if you have a purse with zipable pockets its easy to hide. also i would probably carry some ziplock baggies and something to spray on the tainted undies so they stain will come out when washed, and then put it in the baggie and no one will know!

My period is very irregular, too. But, there are usually some signs....sore breasts, abdominal pain...something. I would not wear pads all the time. When your period does show up, you'll see it in your underwear when you go to the bathroom. If you change your underwear right away and spray it with Shout or Spray N Wash, it shouldn't stain. I'd carry pads or tampons with me in my purse if I were you, but I wouldn't wear pads all the time.

I do the exact same thing, my period is very irregular and will either not get it a month or just get it late, it is very unpredictable. I went to a doctor once and I found out it was due to meds I was on (I am on meds for another condition) I no longer worry about it too much.

I have the same problem. Go to the doctor and discuss some of your choices. Keep a pad or tampon on you at all times just in case.

There is no easy solution if your periods are not regular. I would use panty liners instead of a pad. They are very small and you won't even notice that you have them on.

Keep pads with you, not on you in your purse or etc. If the purse is slim like a clutch keep a couple of tampons. The pill will help you become regular also.

Carry pads with you in your purse. If you go to the bathroom and see a little bit of blood on the toilet paper then you'll know it's coming and you can be prepared.

you should talk to your gynocologist, and ask him about maybe putting you on birth control pills. it'll help regulate your period. and in the mean time, buy some panty liners. that way you won't have the extra bulk all the time and you'll still have some protection if you happen to be out somewhere and you start.
