I would be one of those lovely old sleek teak sailors, double masted [ahem], that creaks and groans [;p] and my name would be the Harbor Mistress. I wouldn't have the get up and go to leave the immediate area.

I would be an old wooden classic boat in need of some repair.
I would be short and wide and would cruse at a low speed, but never be unreliable.
My name would be "Joker"
EDIT;
Yes I used to live by the river, as a child and we had a boat called - Joker.
We used to spend many happy holidays cruising in her.

My newest boat is a 24' Carolina skiff with a 90hp E-tec, she's used commercially for inshore fishing & clamming. Her name is : MOUSE. I have another carolina skiff a little 13' one. That ones called : Steamer King. I strictly use it for harvesting steamer clams(soft clams). My last old boat was called : Morning Dew. One before was : Lone Gull. I have had many boats over the years.

I would be a canoe, but I'd only have one oar cos I'm used to going round in circles.
Not sure if canoes have names but I would call it
NERVOUS WRECK
Cos if I was in open water in any boat I would be very nervous! lol
hugs x
