I prefer for the asker to choose the best answer because it shows that the asker was serious about the question and finding an answer that suits him/her. (Although the answers of a few of my questions were chosen by voters, but that' because I was grounded and couldn't get on the computer to choose the best answer myself lol).

It's better when the asker picks me as the ebst answer as it's more personal and I look forward to what they have to say in their comments. But when it's all said and done a best answer is a best answer and I'll take my best answers anyway I can get them.
