A Hell in a Cell is a cage with a top. It is fought just like a regular match. Win by pinfall or submission. The cell goes around the ring in such a way that there is room on the ground outside the ring to fight on.
Steel cage, the only way to win is by escaping the cage either through the door or over the top of the cage. It fits snug around the ring.

Hell In a Cell match:
1.It is surrounded by cage from all sides including top.
2.There is some space outside the ring.
3.The only way to win is by Pinfall or submission
Cage match:
1.Its four sides are surrounded by cage. There is an opening on top from where wrestlers can escape.
2.There is no space to fight besidethe ring. There is an open door from where escape is possible.
3.A player can win the match by Pinfall, submission or by escaping the cage.

A Steel Cage is placed on the ring. A steel cage has no top unlike a hell in a cell as well.
A Hell in a Cell is placed outside of the ring unlike a steel cage.

A hell in a cell is a huge cell surrounding the ring , and there is no escape , you don't try to escape , you just beat the crap out of eachother with no rules , and sometimes weapons , yay ! . A cage is where you try to escape , by climbing up and over the fence that is attatched to the apron on the outside of the ring .

hell in a cell: is made like a cage match but with a roof type made of metal fence. win by pinfall or submission. ps hell in a cell is way better then a steel cage match!

steel cage - there is no top and no door so the only way to win is whoever climbs the cage and goes through the top of the cage and climbs down to touch the floor first wins
hell in a cell- there is a top but you win by pinfall or you can go through the door

steel cage you have to escape the cage and in a hell in a cell you can leave the cell and fight outside it and get on top of it
