It isn't so scarey that some leaders may not believe in evolution but that leaders listen to the advice from "imaginary friends" and follow "the voices in their heads". I don't want ANY religious fanatics running the country. The last time religious organizations tried to run the world, it was called "The Dark Ages" and the world was run on fear and war.
Belief in evolution has little to do with it but religious fanaticism is deadly.

No.
What a President does or does not believe has suprisingly little to do with anything.... it is just fodder for the press to get fools excited about.
None of the first 15 American Presidents believed in Evolution... Darwin didn't publish till 1859. I don' t know if Lincoln read Darwin, but I doubt it as he had other things to worry about during his administraton.

It's a matter of some concern - although more for what it reflects about the electorate than anything the President could do directly. That degree of ignorance and dogmatic arrogance is not likely to be confined to the scientific realm.

Evolution isn't science! It contradicts many scientific laws that we can prove... at all comes down that you have to assume the atmosphere changed at one point... you have to believe in evolution more than God!
We will be the laughing stock of advancing science!

Not a bit, it's just another theory. But ask the same question about someone believing in creationism (another theory) and see how many are scared to death.
what bunch of hypocrites.

Having a fanatic on either side scares me.
How far will we advance? That's impossible to answer, without speculation.

I don't believe in evolution either.
Sorry if I turned you into a quivering, frightened little boy just now.
