Actually, Samantha, it doesn't go through your digestive tract. Your kidneys filter waste out of your bloodstream, and it goes down your ureters and into your bladder.

it does get rid of waste. Its also an indicator of some health issues. normally almost a clear color, if its yellow and epically real yellow you need to drink more water. it is also usually checked when you end up in an ER espically with trauma. normally checked to see if there is blood in it and also to check and to see if you are making any. it may also be checked for infections
