Don't know if you have a laptop for it's portability, but if you don't take it out of the house (and a lot of users don't) but you could just buy a £4 external USB keyboard and if you want one toddler proof they do the sealed, waterproof, roll up, silent rubber membrane ones for about £6.

Hi Yellowfish, you need to keep the little guy away from your toys :)
Laptop keyboards can be changed, but they are all different. You need to contact the manufacturer. Replacement is a little tricky, probably worth asking a local specialist to do it for you.
Wild guess, about £30

Good luck, Brian

Hi. Actually the keyboard is removable and that is what a shop would do. (You could try and remove it by gently prying one of the blank pads on the right side.) Don't know the cost in your neck of the woods.

Suggest you go to www.repair4laptop.com, there you can find service manual to replace your keyboard.

Keyboard cost me $40.00 don't know what it would be in pounds, but try www.getpartsonline.com, it took me only 22 mins. to replace a keyboard on a Compaq Presario 3000.

Hope this helps.

well in us dollars my girlfriend got a replacement keyboard that she easily installed herself for about $15.00 dollars so I'm guessing it would be half that plus shipping to the UK maybe £10.00
