Even if you did so what, as long as you can support your position that's all that matters. You will only get in trouble if your teacher is a Bush supporter. I took jabs at the president in college all the time, but college you have a bit more latitude.

In school, you typically have to support your opinions with examples and facts. If you can do that, I don't see why a teacher would be upset.
It also helps if your teacher shares your opinion, but even if they don't, if your opinion is well supported there's not much they can do.
