i got a new laptop an it has a webcam but hp didnt give us a program to run it. any good free ones i can download?

Don't listen to any of these people-They're wrong =P. HP did install a program for you to use-it's just hiding in another program. At the top media bar hit the QuickPlay button (the "Q") . When QuickPlay opens, hit the media library button (it should have a musical note, a movie reel, and a camera). In the "Source" column, double click on "HP Webcam". Should open up a little viewer. There are buttons at the very bottom that should help you take pictures and record video. Good luck!

You should be able to download software for the Webcam directly from HP's website. Go to their service and support section and look for the drivers for your specific model of laptop.

All you need for a webcam is an Instant Messenger like AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, etc. Just make sure the one you use has video support. Also if you just want to see yourself ( :) ) you can just go into My Computer and double click on your webcam (if it's there)

if its built in, and if it is an hp, u can go to start, all programs, and then to Hp Pavillion webcam, if its not a vista.

Hi, that webcam does work all you need you need to do is download an IM messenger, like Yahoo Messenger, Gtalk, AIM, and many more.

go to the webcam manufactors website... you will be able to download it 4 free.... but your laptop may all ready have the driver installed.
