My mom got a stereo but didn't need the speakers. Each speaker has a male cable to plug into the stereo (one for "left" and one for "right"). But my computer tower only has one female (audio out). Can I get some kind of adapter that will accept both males from the speakers and combine them to plug into my computer tower?

Hi. Radio Shack has a good selection of adapter cables. The computer has a 1/8" stereo jack. Just match the speaker plugs to a 1/8" male.

radio shack does have a good selection, you need a adapter with a 1/8" stereo male plug that converts your computers 1/8" stereo jack to two 1/8" mono jacks, where you would plug in both of your left and right mono speakers plugs.

you're dropping it gradual. extra audio gadget ? extra useful sound. Your plan would not make sonic experience. this is a splash such as you attempt to apply 2 automobiles to tug a trailer that neither can pull on my own. This in basic terms is clever in case you have them in separate rooms, in any different case it is going to be an acoustic mess.
