wasn't under googles preferences and in my startup folder (control panel) - it wasnt there

Click start, then type in the search bar msconfig and hit enter.

Find that program, and uncheck it.

Done.

At the bottom blue taskbar look at the right side for the desktop icon, double click it, a screen will come up, press blue bar in center of screen (Stop Desktop Search) and that will do it. I just did it on my computer.

just click start,run,type msconfig,click start up and uncheck the items that you don't want to start up during computer start up, click apply and let the computer restart.
