Please no generic answers like, "can support the weight of a very heavy person." I have a friend who would love to snow tube with me, but he's a big guy...don't want to take him and find out it won't support his weight. I already called the tubing parks...they're clueless. Help please?!

I work at a ski hill with a tubing run. There is no "maximum weight" that I know of. The tubes are very durable and I weight about 270. I can go down the runs with no problem at all. I've had users who were well over 300lbs get in the tubes and they were fine.

I suppose something like 400 or 450 would max out the single person tubes....but I'm guessing.

take him out -- if it doesn't support his weight-- oh well - he won't do it again...but, why not give it a try --- at least 200+ lbs.
