They would have had a good shot since they had beaten them in the regular season that year (one of only two Atlanta losses).

But the Jets are cursed and we all knew in the back of our heads at halftime that there was no way they were going to be able to hold the lead against Denver

Your question does not make sense.

The Jets were not even close to the Broncos. The Vikes were closer to the Falcons in the NFC championship game.
