My 93 Nissan won't start, I think it's the battery. When I tried to pop the hood so I could jump the battery, the hood won't pop. Has this happened to you? Any suggestions? It's cold, could the hood be frozen shut? I'm in Michigan.

Have a friend pull the lever to pop the hood WHILE you bang your hand on the hood way up in the front in the center where the latch is located. It should then just pop up. This is pretty common, really.

The hood release cable may be stretched out. Pull on the hood release cable as far as you can by grabbing the cable itself behind the release lever. Having someone pound slightly on the front of the hood as you do this may help too. GO Big Blue!
