OMG!! so excited because I know what to do. No, not from these people that answered. Ok, to do this: Go to START, then MY NETWORK PLACES. On the left side you should see a gray and green icon-next to it it says:SET UP A WIRELESS NETWORK FOR HOME. Click that, next follow the onscreen directions: You type what you want for the SSID: then choose the first option, and click next. If you have a USB connector you can use that: It says insert the USB to this computer. Next it says insert the USB to any computer or device you want to be connected to the wireless internet (FOR Wii-- connect the USB into the USB slot in the back of the Wii above the power cables and stuff) Wait for the Wii to blink or something similar, and insert the USB onto the orginial computer. Follow the directions and it will work!!! Hope this works out as well as it did for you!!!

Your computer shouldn't have a SSID. It is your router that has it . It is the wireless identification for your wireless network; however, if you computer is hooked wirelessly to your router, you should be able to find it. In the system tray by the clock you should see the network icon (two computers, probably flashing) and right click to see the properties. From here, you should see the SSID for the wireless connection. Keep in mind, if you aren't connected wirelessly, you need to go to your router directly to get it. Also, you can change the SSID to anything you want.

While your computer is on-line (assuming a wireless connection) there will be a little monitor looking thing down next to the time. With your mouse, hover over the little monitor, the SSID will be displayed inside brackets. like (XYZ), that's what you're looking for.

SSID is the broadcasted name from your wireless router. That is what you need to find on your wireless router (if you have one) . Otherwise you will need a wii lan adapter to plug from your wii into your router.

If you can give more information about how you get online (what router/wireless router you use), then we can give you more help.

You get your SSID from your wireless modem/router. It is your wireless network name.
