In Montpelier, Vermont, they hold a Town Meeting Day. On the agenda of that meeting will be a request that they charge George Bush and Dick Cheney with International War Crimes.

Vermont is the only state in the Union that Bush has not visited. It may remain the only state in the Union that he does not visit. Even though the state's Attorney General said that such a movement would have "dubious legal value," the townsfolk feel it is their duty to bring the question before the board.

Is Montpelier, Vermont, the most courageous state in the country, gathering the courage to object to the lies that led to the Iraq War? Or are they just sulking because of Presidential neglect and want to call attention to their town?

Once it was clear that the republicans would lose control of the house and senate in the 2006 elections, George Bush insisted on a law legalizing interrogation techniques that had been listed as war crimes up to the point where the republicans changed the law.

Bush insisted that the new law legalizing those interrogation techniques be made retroactive to 2001 so that the new law covered any interrogations that had been illegally conducted using interrogation tactics that were, at the time, clearly considered war crimes according to U.S. law.

Bush has pushed the democrats for a retroactive law that protects telecommunication companies that have cooperated with the government in using illegal wiretaps.

These are just two examples of high crimes commited by the Bush administration. The list is very long and they should be impeached and tried for their crimes including the many war crimes that they have committed.

I applaud Vermont for recognizing the truth and voicing their belief that the citizens of this country should hold our leaders accountable when they break our laws and/or international laws.

For those who limit their news sources to republican propaganda outlets here is some proof of my claim:

A quote concerning the 2006 law that was made retroactive to cover war crimes that had already been committed by CIA interrogators with Bush administration approval,

The bill also spells out the specific interrogation techniques that are outlawed, while granting retroactive legal protection to military and intelligence personnel who previously participated in rough questioning of terrorism suspects. That provision allows the administration to continue a once-secret CIA program for detaining terrorism suspects and using tough interrogation techniques on those believed to have information about plots against the United States, Bush said.

"This program has been one of the most successful intelligence efforts in American history," Bush said. "It has helped prevent attacks on our country. And the bill I sign today will ensure that we can continue using this vital tool to protect the American people for years to come."

I also posted links to searches with plenty of info about both of the issues I mentioned. Do a little research and it will become clear that these neogoons running our country are nothing but criminals.

Sulking? No. Courageous? Hardly. The town is just full of people who are against the war & most likely highly liberal democrats. The state itself, if you look into its current political climate, is a very left leaning democratic state so that they would do something like this is no surprise at all.

Well, good for them. I'm pretty sure they aren't doing this because they wish George had visited. Sounds like they are simply pissed off because a couple of war criminals are in charge of this great country. Heck, I'm not too happy about that, myself....

i think of that's time for great government to formally declare the individuals to be enslaved, so the droolers who have not figured it out yet will ultimately comprehend, and we can get on with the business enterprise of Revolution.
