You have removed the circlips and now you place the piston on its side on the vice with a gap just a bit wider than the center pin and put a piece of wood each side under the piston so it does not get marked then a punch or even a bolt head that goes into the pin hole fairly tight and tap on it with a hammer and the center pin will easily come out there is no need to punch it all the way out as only just past the middle lets you remove the piston .

After you've removed any circlips, determine if the piston pin is tight in the piston or the rod. If the piston, holding the piston boss areas over the burner on a gas range will often expand the metal enough to push it out. If not, do like the others said except get a piece of PVC pipe at the hardware store, cut one end to fit the contours of the piston and use a bolt and washers to pull the pin out. Pistons are delicate and can be warped slightly out of shape by banging on them or not having a puller that fits the contour.

The way I'd always do this is remove the circlips in the wristpin hole. Get two (2) sockets, one larger diameter than the wristpin, and deep enough to allow the pin to go into. A piece of pipe/tubing could also be used. The second socket is slightly smaller than the wristpin. One on either side, tighten vise, pin will end up in larger socket/tubing. NO NEED to completely remove it, just enough to allow the piston and rod to separate.
If rod is still in engine, and you want to just remove piston, use a large "C" clamp, instead of a vise.

Put the piston sideways on a vise, not in the jaws.
Get a punch slightly smaller than the wrist pin.
Tap it lightly with a hammer, and it will slide out.

Remove it with a piston pin puller if you don't want to do any damage.
Have you ever heard the saying, "use the right tool"?

DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE THE WRIST PIN OUT WITH A HAMMER!!! CHEAPEST WAY, USE A C CLAMP. PUT A TUBE OR DEEP SOCKET ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE FROM WHERE YOU ARE DRIVING. MUST BE BIGGER THAN THE DIAMETER OF THE WRIST PIN. USE A TUBE OR DEEP SOCKET ON THE DRIVEN SIDE. MUST BE SMALLER THAN THE WRIST PIN. DON'T USE A TIGHT FIT. REMEMBER, DO NOT HAMMER. BE WELL.
