if shes happy, hes nice, and they are both happy, share the same interests, genuinely care for each other...
whos getting hurt. nothings wrong
would you prefer her dating a crack dealing gang member who muggs and kills people her age?
Most likely Mr olderwas simply shy and sheltered when younger so not as advanced as others his age and still likes the same stuff he did when younger and his mates all coupled off and nobody to go party with.
You dont know whty he dates her
you aint him... people date for the same reasons whatever their age ie they like someone

Unfortunately teen age girls do not take things like this good, no matter what. I would suggest you just keep a close eye on the relationship and if something bad happens. If her parents do not know, tell them! They might be able to do something too. If you are friends with this person, try an autonomous letter. If the relationship takes a turn for the REALLY bad you can always call the police, but I would just let her learn the lesson on her own.

You can certainly tell your friend that you wish she would date only age appropriate guys and why you feel that way, but she might not consider your advice helpful, or worse she might feel that your criticism is rooted in jealousy, and end or curtail your friendship.
So why don't you speak to an adult who has some expertise in this area. The nurse at school might be a person you could speak to about this situation, or a social worker, or some other adult with good judgment. See if there are one or more adults available who can talk to your friend instead of you having to take on this burden.
Good luck whatever you do.

I see that a lot. Maybe she is just tired of those teen dates. You know, McDonalds Drive thru and a movie. It's possible that she has mature beyond that and finds older guys more interesting and more fun.
I'm not saying it's right but at 16 she knows right from wrong. You need to let her make her own decisions. I know thats easy for me to say..... but I do agree with you...if it was my sister or my daughter...I'd kick his butt! lol.

Maybe it is due to the fact that guys her age just don't ask her out. And she is desperate for the attention so when an older guy (who wants one thing from her) shows her that attention she is going to grab at it. I also think that a 25 old man who dates 16 year olds is just really pathetic. He could be arrested for that.

Yes, that happens many times. To tell you the truth, just stay out of it. What happens to her is what happens. It's sad to say, but she chose to be with an older guy. She should know the consequences of getting with an older guy.
I'm sorry about the girl. Though, if you do get a chance to talk to her, tell her to be careful. That's all I can say. Take care.

Maybe the girl was lacking a father figure in her life. Or maybe she just likes older men. I can't say too much because my husband is a lot older than me.
