The Greek God Dionysus is the patron God of theatre which I would assume would now include the film industry.

No. Some directors and some talented cameramen, producers, and behind the scenes crew may be considered as "gods within the industry though.
Some of those effects guys are geniuses.

Not in the sense I think you mean,as in "Goddess Of Love"(Aphrodite)or God Of War(Ares) since there weren't any such things as film in the ancient world, however, there are those special one-of-a-kind people of "Classic"Hollywood that could(and often were)referred to as Gods & Goddesses.Rita Hayworth was "The Love Goddess"although she herself never considered herself to be any such thing) But,stars like Clark Gable,Marilyn Monroe,Garbo&Dietrich are considered to be the modern equivalent.TL

nope, if your referring to mythology, no directors, camermen, actors dont pray to a god of film or movies, unless of course they are christian, muslim etc they would pray to Jesus, Allah etc. but if ur thinking a god makes films, im sorry no, people make this and people come up with movies and films
