Scrambling to answer a question quickly so that you will be one of the first 30 to answer a popular one? Who wants to be on the second page? I think it takes your chances of getting best answer down 30%.

I hear ya! It's unnerving when the scroll says 0 answers and the Q says "be the first to answer" and when I do so, quickly, I still find myself on the second page of anwers. Whoa! How does that happen?

I used to try to answer them quickly but I don't care so much about that anymore. I think you are right about it taking your chances down for best answer by being on the second page.

Not really, if i get on the first page fine if i don't, i have gotten a few best answers on the second 30.

LOL, thats exactly what i do, when i see a popular question like, "what 5 things can you not live without?" and then i click on it just to see that theres like 3 pages already, i just give up, i feel like if ur one of the first ones, it deff makes ur chances WAY greater of getting best answer:)

I'd RATHER be on the second page. The trolls don't usually bother people there as much. And really I don't care if I get best answer or not. That's just gravy.

Lol, I was thinking of posting a similar question earlier!!! I hate being on the 2nd page! Especially if I have a really witty answer, because less people will read it!

I have tried, tried and tried. Sometimes I just type one letter and submit it, then go back and edit my answer.
