No. Mine barely hurt at all. After a while the nerves shut down and it just feels like something dragging on your skin, a little prickly, but not painful. Especially if you're getting it on a fleshy part of your body. If you have them in a spot close to the bone, they will hurt a little worse. Relax.

That must be something new, I have never heard of a numbing patch for a tattoo. I can tell you that they do hurt and if you are having one put on where there is less meat and close to a bone it will hurt worse. Bad places are on the spine, shoulder blade, wrist and ankles. Those are the bonier parts and it really hurts! The meatier the spot is the less it will hurt but keep in mind that it is a bunch of needles that are going in and out of your skin a bazillion times to get that ink in there and you cannot get one without pain. Obviously it is not an unbearable pain or there would not be so many tattoo's out there but I would never have one done again. I was young when I got mine and had one re-colored about 5 years ago and was blown away by how much it hurt! Good luck and be sure and get one that you can keep covered even if in an evening gown. You may someday need to be in one or look very professional and the tattoo will stop you short of glamor or professionalism.

I have body-art and to me only the initial sting of the needle for the outline was painful. After that your skin usually naturally numbs alittle. You will see for yourself, what your tolerance is during the tattoo session. Best of luck. Please make sure the place is clean and has a good reputation. =)

No...I had a tattoo put on my shoulder blade and i did not even flinch. It will go numb on it's own within 5 minutes. It does not hurt as bad as you think.

I know nothing about nothing when it comes to tattoos. One thing, I would make sure that it wasn't one I picked off the wall or out of his book. I would not want one that's on 100's or 1,000's of other people. It would have to be drawn free-hand and then destroyed afterward.

A tattoo will be wonderful someday because it helps the coroner identify the body.

It will also tell the world that you are spam sucking, trailer dwelling, beer sipping, porch sitting, yard fighting, tattoo wearing, pit bull breeding, white trash.

It will be a permanent statement.
Have a nice life.

No, never used them out of five tattoos that I have.
Don't worry. It'll hurt a little, but it really isn't all that bad.
Once you get the first one you'll probably go back for another !!

The ONLY way to get a real tattoo and live to tell about it is to use nothing. It's not that bad! Ain't gonna kill ya! Your kids will grow up knowing just how tuff their blood really is!!
