Yes. I had several gift cards one year and was strapped for cash. So, I used my gift cards to buy gifts for friends and family.

Yea, a friend gave me a gift card for christmas which i used to buy her shoes for her birthday

NEVER! Ay thats good money...lol You could buy something for the full amount of the card , return it, get cash money, and then shop wherever you want!

Just this year, recieved some bath and body lotion from somebody- and then my daughter forgot to get one of her friends a present.. so, I gave her that!
