There's only about two things I can think of.

First, are you sure that when you played the Olympic game that you did save your gameplay on your Wii before trying to save it to the SD card?

Second, some of the game saves may not be compatable with others on the same SD card. For some reason, we couldn't save Elebits on the same SD card as the save for Metroid Prime -- I have no idea why unless the files they are saved under are exactly the same or similar.

Also, try going back into the game and then saving it again with your SD card in the console and see whether you can save your gameplay onto your SD card directly from the game without having to go into data management.

The SD card might be out of space. That is the most common and the best thing to do is go to staples and buy one there. You can get a 2GB one for like around 20 instead of getting the same one with it saying Wii on it for almost double!
P.S. Just to let you know that the Wii does not read game data off of the SD card yet. So you will need to put the game data back on the Wii harddrive when you want to resume playing the WIi game from the same spot
