About how many supporters did this woman really have? The press is presenting her like she held the majority, but as I understand she wasn't exactly too popular in her own country, given all those corruption charges and the fact they'd already given her two chances in power.
I mean, in a country of 164 million she'd have to have at least half that before even thinking about a government shift.

An estimate of how much please. If the population is 164 million then relatively speaking a million wouldn't suffice as 'a lot'.

Candidates running for Prez in US don't have "half" before they run for office. Bhutto was very popular, and there was much corruption; the press usually makes big issues of that which will sell most commercially
