The only state that I know you can legally split lanes (pass in between vehicles that are stopped at an intersection) is California. As far as the front wheelie goes that is up to your abilities and motorcycle. It is illegal to do on a public street or highway any where in the U.S. as it is against U.S.D.O.T. regulations.

Wheelies are never a good idea, If 1 car is left & 1 right then either 1 is going straight on or turning left , the other must be going right, I would not want to be in the middle of them,

It can be illegal to share a lane with a car but usually at lights there is never been any law applied if you set yourself up to be first to leave the intersection.
When braking it is advised to always apply your front brake first as the presuue forces the front wheel shockers down and applies much more tire surface to the road then rea brakes last as hey hve very little tire surface on the road . It is unlikely you will do a front wheelie ~~

First and Second Questions... You're talking about lane splitting, and to my knowledge, it's only legal in California. You might check with the AMA on that.
Third Question... You're talking about a "stoppie", and yes on the right bike, it's possible. Illegal, but possible. Not to mention, unless it's performed in a closed environment away from public streets, it's dangerous not only to you, but anyone around you. If you loose it, you've just turned a 400-600lb projectile loose into traffic. STUPID MOVE.
To surmise.. If you want to lane split, move to California. If you want to do Stoppies and other such "stunting" shenanigans, find an empty parking lot somewhere, and if you try it on public roads, you're a D**K.

It's illegal in 49 US states - California is an exception. It's also likely outside of California to get drivers to do something boneheaded to block you. Outside of the US, this is often legal.
You can do a front wheelie with the brakes on most bikes. But you definitely shouldn't do that while slipping in between cars.

Laws on lane-splitting (going between cars) vary state to state, so check on your state's laws before trying it. Doing a front wheelie could probably be considered "reckless driving" so that's probably illegal too.
Drive safe!

Lane splitting is ILLEGAL in all but one state that I know of... California. I always have to laugh at California riders that come to Nevada and get busted for this (in my opinion) unsafe practice, and then whine about how it's so unfair.
A "front wheelie" is called a 'Stoppie.' Also a very dangerous unsafe practice!

You can split lanes legally in California only if your speed is only 5 mph faster than the cars you intend to pass.
As for the "front wheelie," that's optional conduct. However, if you lose control of your bike, you can't make any insurance claim since any "front wheelie" is considered very risky and you are considered not in control of the bike. Therefore your insurance claim will be rejected.
Good luck!

No it is not legal. You must be in your own lane.
Yes, you can do a wheelie by stopping. It is called a stoppie. Learned that by watching cable t.v. by the way.
