I've heard some pretty crazy rumors about McDonalds.
but what is it about the restaurant that everyone hates so much?
the food?
the place?

I think they are just rumors prob to try to take down the business because its so BIG. But I think non of what you hear is true.

McDonald's is a target because they are a huge company and probably the best known fast food chain in the world.
Though most of the food isn't healthy when eaten excessively, they do use high quality ingredients and stick to strict standards of cleanliness. They also hold their food and meat suppliers to higher standards than other chains. This isn't propaganda its fact. They have also, in the last few years, made an earnest effort to create healthier choices for children to eat and they have introduced more interactive play areas so the kids are getting some physical activity too.
As for the movie Super SIze me, the message was a bit skewed. Realize that he ate only McD product 3x a day for a month and he ate pretty big quantities. He always super sized and he usually ordered more than a standard combo meal. That would make anyone sick. McDonald's the company didn't make him sick, he did it by eating that way. Most consumers can eat it in moderation and be fine.
And, like any big company they make mistakes and have some problems but as a whole these are good people who are trying to produce a good product and they do a lot of good with their money too. Ronald McDonald House Charities are international and do a great deal of charity work.
McDonald's isn't perfect, but they aren't the devil either. For your project, I strongly suggest you check out the corporate web site for some nutritional information and that you ask a local owner/operator to provide you with some factual information.

It's their food. They kill many cattle just to get one Chicken McNugget. They also put too much oil and fat in their french fries that when I eat them I feel like trowing up. These are true facts. McDonald's does NOT care about the health of other people. They just our money! Every thing on the McDonalds list is NOT healthy, including the salads and the milk shakes. McDonalds also shoots their fries with a with a superpowed guns.
And thats all I can remember from reading "Chew On This"

People are afraid of what they don't understand and they attack. Mc Donald's DOES NOT raise their beef in the rainforest. How ignorant is that statement. All of their beef is 100% USDA raised and inspected. They use BRAND NAME chicken (Tyson), OJ (Minute Maid), Apple juice (Tree-top), yogurt (Dannon), etc. They are doing test markets for a healthier oil that is free of Trans-fats, but it takes time. They want something that is not going to change the taste of their fries or chicken products. One test market area happens to be in the town where my parents live and they said the fries tasted nasty.

some people hate them because McDonald's is a HUGE company.
some hate it because the food is so fatty that it is unhealthy for most people. (but it tastes good.)
Some parents hate it because McDonald's is the only food the kids will eat on vacation.

people are begining to hate-well do hate mcdonalds because the food is so greasy,its too expensive,and just plaind right desqusting-u could get fat easily from that food.they have very bad service-i found a piece of hair in my burger one time.its very crapy how they serve food,how they cheat you and how rediculous the place looks-sloppy.

i haven't heard those rumors but i never go to mcdonald's coz i know the food's not very tasty.

Peolpe hate it because the food so disgustingly unhealthy and much of their food was raised on destroyed rainforset land.

sweetie- the lack of real food they sere. they serve stuff that could kill you and they have foriegn people serving it. why don't they just bomb us, it seems like they are poisioning us with mcy d's
